About Christy

IV Nurse Manager

Christy Messerich, RN

Christy Messerich has been a valued part of Denali Specialty Clinic for over ten years, where she leads the clinic’s IV Department as IV Nurse Manager. Known for her warmth, dependability, and genuine love for people, Christy has become an integral part of both the patient experience and the culture of the clinic itself. Patients and staff are naturally drawn to her welcoming personality, sense of humor, and rare ability to make people feel comfortable, cared for, and truly understood from the moment they meet her.

Born in Seoul, Christy immigrated to the United States with her family at age 12. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah College of Nursing in 2000. Throughout her career, she has remained deeply passionate about helping others improve their health and well-being through both compassion and clinical excellence — a combination that has made her a trusted leader and someone patients consistently feel safe with.

She is widely known around Denali for her exceptional IV skills — many jokingly call her “the best IV nurse alive.” Beyond her technical expertise, Christy is valued for her tireless work ethic, her willingness to show up for anyone who needs her, and her belief that every person has a unique story worth hearing. That philosophy shapes not just how she cares for patients, but how she leads her team.

Outside the clinic, Christy enjoys traveling, archery, hiking, hunting, kickboxing, and weightlifting. She is the proud mother of two daughters, Denali (20) and Emily (18), who she describes as her greatest joy and daily reminder of patience, love, and perspective. Whether caring for patients, supporting her team, or spending time with family, Christy brings energy, heart, and authenticity to everything she does.
